Now a nationally recognized childhood obesity prevention program, Let's Go! began as a cooperative effort between Maine's most prominent healthcare, community and corporate leaders and was brought to life by CD&M. To put an upbeat and energetic face on the obesity problem, we developed a fun name and logo, used the
5-2-1-0 mnemonic for our messaging, and reached out to children and their families where they live, learn, work and play. In the five years since we helped launch the campaign, parents' awareness of Let's Go! has increased 422%, and Let's Go! has evolved from a Greater Portland program into a statewide and national model of success.
